The Buffalo Sabres Junior Sled Hockey team defeated visiting Hamilton, 1-0, at Buffalo State Arena on March 13. With the semi-final round win, the team advances to the championship on March 27 in Whitby.

The Sabres' Nick Walker continued with his hot scoring hand, getting the game's only goal early in the first period to give the Sabres the win. Pierce Dunne recorded his fifth consecutive shutout, with strong defensive help from his teammates.

Good luck to the Juniors on March 27 as they vie for the league championship. 

VANCOUVER, B.C. - The U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team logged its second consecutive shutout victory as it topped the Czech Republic, 3-0, March 14 in its second preliminary-round game of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. The team previously beat South Korea, 5-0.

Alexi Salamone (Grand Island, N.Y.) notched his second straight multiple-point night with a goal and an assist, while Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) turned aside all six shots faced.

The team next faces Japan at 8 pm eastern on Tuesday, with the game televised live on CTV.

If you have Time Warner Cable and you get CTV (Canadian TV channel 15) you'll be able to catch our US team and "The Buffalo Nine" at the Paralympics in Vancouver starting Tuesday, March 16.

The USA vs. Japan game will be carried live on Tuesday the 16th at 8 PM EST. The semifinals will be carried on Thursday at noon and 7 PM EST. Bronze medal is Friday the 19th at 10 PM EST and the Gold is Saturday the 20th at 3 PM EST.
