The Sled Hockey Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is Sunday, Nov. 16, from 8 am to 10 am at Applebee's, 5017 Transit Road, Williamsville.

We still need some attendees to volunteer to work one hour of the event. Servers, table bussers and raffle sellers are needed. Contact Gail Balsdon or Terrie Kothe if you can help.

USA Hockey has announced that the Fifth Annual 2008-2009 USA Hockey National Disabled Festival is taking place March 20-22, 2009, in Buffalo.

The festival wil be held at the Amherst Pepsi Center and will feature all four disciplines --  deaf/hard of hearing; special; sled; and amputee/standing -- of disabled hockey being played under one roof.

We're fortunate that our organization is hosting the event; Dan Murray is the chairperson. Dan asks that at least one parent, player or organization member from each family attend an organizational meeting Nov. 18 at 7:30 at the Pepsi Center. We need to organize volunteers, event program (a fundraising opportunity); hospitality (Buffalo-style); registration (including gift bag); scorekeeping and more.

We hope this will be the largest fundraiser ever for our organization, but we need everyone's help to make it a huge success.
